Case Studies
A collaborative Extra Issue of LogoArchive that celebrates the form language of Japanese logo design through layers and tactility, craft and materiality.
Akogare is dedicated to the logos of Japan. Featuring Japanese papers throughout, English and Japanese texts by Ian Lynam, Iori Kikuchi and project co-ordinated by Richard Baird.
The booklet is constructed from three A3 sheets of Takeo Tela in White and Ivory 80gsm, printed both sides, folded down and collated into an A5 booklet. This issue also features a special insert of Takeo Pachica. Using a heated die, Pachica is rendered semi-transparent to tell the story of the Mitsubishi logo.
LogoArchive Extra Issue 4 was designed by Hugh Miller, printed by Identity Print (masters of heat embossing Pachica) and published by BP&O.
